The Recordings of the 2023 Winter Conference are available at this link to the Shenandoah County Extension website. Congratulations to the 2023 No-Till Champion Award Recipient, Cherry Grove of Fairfield (Jimmy & Tommy Alexander) in Rockbridge County.
The 2023 winter conference will be Tuesday, February 21. The speakers will be Dr. Greg Roth and Leslie Bowman. Dr. Roth is a Professor Emeritus of Agronomy in the Department of Plant Science at Penn State University. Leslie Bowman is the crop manager at Lesher’s Poultry Farm, an integrated grain and egg producer near Chambersburg, PA. In addition, a panel of 3 advanced Virginia no-tillers will comment on nitrogen rate studies conducted in 2022 and share practical advice.
The conference will be held at the Agriteer location in Harrisonburg, VA once again. The venue is 1/2 mile north of the Rockingham County Fairgrounds at 4310 South Valley Pike, Rockingham, VA 22801. Registration is free although we would like you to pre-register so everyone can be accommodated.

The VANTAGE Farmer Mentor Program helps pair experienced cover crop and no-till farmers with other farmers to teach these practices to increase soil health and crop production.
